1. Agreement

These Terms govern your purchase and use of Closure Engine ("Closure"). They form an agreement between you and the operator of Closure Engine ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Closure, you agree to these Terms.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you purchase for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it and to designate the individual who will use the license.

2. What you purchase

Closure is a local command-line developer tool. A purchase provides the version available when your order is fulfilled, its included catalogs and documentation, and a license to use that delivered version under these Terms. It is not a hosted repository-scanning service, consulting engagement, or subscription.

Delivery is electronic to the email address used at checkout and is governed by our Refund and Delivery Policy. You are responsible for providing a reachable address and following the installation instructions.

3. Your software license

We grant one individual user a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable license to install and use the delivered version of Closure on devices and repositories that user owns, controls, or is authorized to work on. Commercial and internal business use are permitted.

The license is perpetual for the delivered version, provided you continue to follow these Terms. It does not promise future versions, upgrades, hosted services, maintenance, or a public package-registry release. Each concurrent user needs a separate license unless we agree to different team terms in writing.

You may not:

  • share, sublicense, resell, rent, or redistribute Closure;
  • publish the package, catalogs, or substantial portions of them;
  • remove ownership or license notices;
  • bypass access controls or use Closure unlawfully; or
  • reverse engineer Closure except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

4. Using Closure responsibly

Closure evaluates declared requirements and repository evidence. Its output is conditional on the catalogs, selections, bindings, extractors, evidence, targets, and repository state supplied to it. A DONE verdict is not a promise that software is bug-free, secure, legally compliant, or complete beyond that scope.

Some commands create or update files when their documentation says they will. You are responsible for reviewing commands, maintaining backups and version control, and deciding whether Closure's output is appropriate for your project. Do not use it as the sole basis for safety-critical, legal, medical, financial, or other high-risk decisions.

Closure currently runs locally and does not include product telemetry or transmit repository contents to us. Your use of third-party tools, coding agents, package registries, or services remains subject to their terms.

5. Payment, support, and refunds

The listed price is $30 USD as a one-time charge. Checkout shows the final amount, local-currency conversion, and applicable taxes before you pay. There is no automatic renewal.

When Managed Payments is enabled, Stripe's Link service acts as the merchant of record and handles payment processing, indirect taxes, transaction-level support, and related payment terms. We remain responsible for the software, fulfillment, and product support.

Our Refund and Delivery Policy provides a full-refund window of 14 calendar days. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle purchase and support information. For product help, email support@closure.fast; we aim to respond within two business days.

6. Ownership and feedback

Closure and its package, catalogs, documentation, marks, and other materials remain owned by us and our licensors. Your repositories, code, selections, bindings, and project-specific evidence remain yours. The license above grants use, not ownership of Closure.

If you voluntarily send suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, but you do not transfer ownership of your code or confidential project information.

7. Warranty disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Closure is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that Closure will identify every requirement, defect, or risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Our total liability arising from Closure will not exceed the amount you paid for it. These limits do not exclude rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

8. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Closure at any time. The license ends if you materially breach these Terms and do not cure the breach after notice, where a cure is possible. When the license ends or a purchase is refunded, you must stop using Closure and delete copies in your possession or control.

Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and payment obligations—continue after termination. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

9. Legal and export restrictions

You must comply with applicable laws, sanctions, and export-control rules. You may not purchase or use Closure where doing so is prohibited or for a prohibited end use. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future purchases or future versions of Closure. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will not retroactively remove a license already granted for a delivered version unless required by law or necessary to address abuse or a security issue.
